Psychotherapy billing

Hello,

Does anyone know how to bill "Value Option" for psychotherapy for 60 mins? I heard that they only pay for CPT 90834 (45 minutes) and deny CPT 90837 (60 minutes).

Please advise!

According to this link some cover the code w/ PA, Some don't.

It lists Value Options and says they typically deny 90837 and when it pays it pays the same rate as 90834.

Many thanks again Paul! It is very helpful info. For Beacon, if a doctor sees patient for 60 minutes, she/he only get reimbursement for 45 mins? Does the doctor has to eat the 15 mins?
Can the doctor bill 2 sessions with some modifiers?
